There are just some shoots that are full of so much beauty that you can’t help but squeal the whole time. I have wanted to shoot at this amazing property for a LONG time but I didn’t have a reason until Kathleen’s bridal photos. We were actually looking for a free location because unfortunately most venues charge a fortune these days but we couldn’t find anything. Since we ended up having to pay, we decided we might as well go all out and pick our favorite place. So Salubria it was! This home dates back to the 1700s and although there have been many renovations since, you can still feel the history when you walk inside.
I had a very clear vision walking into this bridal shoot and it ended up being a complete dream come true. I don’t do bridal shoots often, especially indoors, so I knew this would be a challenge for me, but with Kathleen’s beautiful long-sleeved dress, I was in bridal shoot heaven. We had two hours of relaxed shooting time to set up each shot to be exactly how we wanted and I loved it because on the wedding day, we rarely have extra time to stop and create a perfect bridal shot. Although I do take a few photos of the bride alone, the wedding day is more focused on the couple together.
So after doing this one, I am now an advocate for bridal shoots for this reason!! Every bride deserves to have a gorgeous image of her in her wedding gown to have forever and to one day show her children and grandchildren. One of my favorite memories as a kid was asking my mom questions about the bridal portrait of her hanging in our house. Every time I go home to visit, I still see it in her room and it makes me smile thinking of her so long ago. It’s so elegant and timeless. So with that being said, I hope these images of Kathleen stay elegant and timeless for years to come. I have been patiently waiting for share these and they’re finally here!! Happy viewing!
