I’m embarrassed with myself that I’m just now sharing this session but sometimes life gets in the way and I simply do not have time to blog everything. I always hate when that happens but I’m happy to finally get Julia and Zach’s Waterperry Farm engagements on the blog because they’re some of my favorites!

There are just some people who have a way of reminding me why this job is so incredibly special and Julia and Zach are those people. Julia has been the most supportive, kind, and excited bride ever since she booked me. Her emails are always full of joy and her encouraging comments on Instagram and Facebook always brighten my day! I could tell from the beginning she had an appreciation for photography and that’s honestly a photographer’s greatest dream. Haha! Especially for me, since words of affirmation is my love language. When I can tell a couple is excited to hang out with me, it makes me SO HAPPY. I couldn’t wait to finally meet her and Zach back in the fall. Julia was exactly the person I expected her to be — bubbly, kind, and full of joy. They both filled our evening with laughter and it felt like they were old friends, which is always relieving.

We shot at the amazing Waterperry Farm, where I’ve shot a few times this year (I feel like it’s becoming a second home). It can be tricky shooting at the same place multiple times but there’s something about Waterperry that never quite gets old — I always see it a little differently, depending on the time of year and the light. The gardens are breathtaking and I always look forward to walking through them with my clients and showing off the reflecting pool like it’s my backyard. Haha! I’m glad Julia and Zach ended up liking the location as much as they thought they would. It was the perfect evening to wander around and get to know them!! And sweet Julia even brought me a gift. The candle is almost gone because I burn it every day and the chocolate disappeared in an hour but I don’t know how….. Haha!! Thanks you two for everything!! I have no doubt your wedding is going to be such a beautiful reflection of the two of you and your love for each other!! I can’t wait to be there with you and capture every moment!! <3
