Pharsalia Engagement Photographer | Tyro Virginia | Liz + Mike

November 27, 2017

I think Pharsalia is my favorite location in Virginia and the last time I shot there, it blew me away. That was back in the spring so I was excited to shoot there this fall and see how it looked different. The colors of the trees were finally changing and although it was November, it was in the mid 60s! We were actually sweating from all the walking and twirling I was having them do. But Liz and Mike embraced every pose, direction, and prompt I gave them, even when it involved spinning until they were dizzy, running in heels, and climbing over a ditch in a dress to get to the next location! Haha!

I absolutely LOVE when my couples show up willing to let go and have fun. It makes everything so much more genuine and allows me to capture the joy that I hope to bring out in every couple I photograph. It really was such a blast getting to wander around this absolutely breathtaking property with them and get them comfortable in front of the camera, which clearly wasn’t very difficult. They were pros from the start. đŸ™‚

I’m already counting down the days until their wedding next September at King Family. I can’t wait to be back with this precious couple as they say their vows to one another!! Considering how joyful and fun their engagement session was, I have no doubt their wedding will be the same. And I know the next year will FLY by because it always surprises me how fast the time between engagement sessions and weddings goes when there’s a whole year in between the two.

I’ve been looking forward to editing their session from the minute I downloaded their photos onto my hard drive and I am stoked to finally have a sneak peek at their engagements on the blog today!! Liz and Mike, you guys are THE BEST!!!! I am SO darn excited to be your wedding photographer!
