LDS Temple Wedding Photographer | Washington D.C. | Lindsay + Chase

March 13, 2018

Lindsay and Chase grew up in Northern Virginia and have known each other practically their whole lives. They were actually born in the same hospital only a few months apart. They attended church together from a very young age and Chase always had a crush on Lindsay. As they grew up, their friendship grew and although they probably knew deep down that it was something more than friendship, they didn’t start dating officially until high school when Chase asked her out with a scavenger hunt throughout the school. After they graduated high school, Lindsay enrolled at the University of Richmond where she played soccer while Chase went off to Utah to run track at BYU. Chase eventually left for his two year mission and they were long distance all that time but not long after he got back, he proposed to Lindsay on a dock lined with lanterns at sunset. They couldn’t have been more excited to start planning their wedding because I heard from Lindsay just a month later.

I’ll never forget Lindsay’s email back to me and the excitement I could hear through her written words when she first inquired. She and her mom both had such a bright and warm personality over email, which I loved. I knew right away that they were going to be such fun people to work with and I was thrilled when they booked and it became official. I talked to both Lindsay and her mom over the phone and I fell in love with them just like I thought I would. I was bummed that Lindsay and Chase weren’t going to be able to do an engagement session because they were in Utah but instead I got to meet them at their Temple ceremony in D.C. a couple days before their Mount Ida wedding. It was so special to be there with them and to get to capture those first moments as they excited the Temple and their friends celebrated them. I loved not only meeting Lindsay and Chase but getting to meet the bridal party and the family beforehand. It made it even more fun to show up on the wedding day at Mount Ida to see so many familiar faces!! Lindsay and Chase, this is only part one of everything that is to come but I know you’re as excited to see these as I am to share them so I couldn’t wait to blog!! Enjoy a few favorites!
