This time of year is a busy one and sometimes I forget to do shoots for myself. I had a free evening a couple weeks ago and have been in a mood to shoot film so I asked my Instagram followers if anyone was up for an impromptu shoot and my friend Kate was! We went up to Carter Mountain Orchard for the beginning of the shoot and ended at the Monticello Trail. Despite the heat, Kate wore the cutest fall outfit which was so perfect for the apple orchard and I shot ALL film. I didn’t even bring my digital camera, which was almost freeing. The magic of film inspires me and although I don’t really shoot it much, it’s always fun to play around with it! I specifically wanted to test out my Pentax camera which I haven’t used in a while but I wanted to compare my Pentax to my Contax as well. I shot three rolls on my Contax and two rolls on my Pentax and I loved seeing the small differences between the two cameras. The whole process of film, scanning, and how each camera renders colors is fascinating to me!! Comment below if you think you can spot the differences!!
