I am SO excited about today’s post because this is my other roommate Autumn! For those of you who don’t know the story, both of my roommates got engaged within a week of each other. I got to photograph McKenna’s proposal and a couple weeks later got to do Autumn and Aaron’s engagement photos.
When Autumn mentioned doing photos in a greenhouse or a plant shop, I was all in. We ended up shooting the first half of their session at Fifth Season Gardening, which is absolutely adorable. Autumn and Aaron are a really creative and artistic couple and this spot was the perfect backdrop for them! I loved getting to do something a little different than normal!
Afterwards, we went over to Petite Mariebette, which is a new bakery in town. Autumn and Aaron have shared many dates and conversations over coffee and it was only fitting we did a few photos of them sipping their lattés together.
The last spot we went to was the top of a nearby parking garage. I loved getting to shoot in an open space with no one else around while blasting some 2000s music. These two have some killer dance moves (featured below). We laughed a lot this day and it put a huge smile on my face.
It’s going to be different around here starting in the summer when they both get married and move out and while I’m still adjusting to that future change, getting to capture their love and be a part of their relationships from the beginning has made me more excited than anything.
Friends like Autumn and McKenna are ones you’ll have for life and I feel incredibly blessed that my roommates became my best friends and we’ll forever share a bond like we do. I’m excited to celebrate with both of them this summer and watch them say yes to the men who love and serve them so well. Congrats Autumn and Aaron! Thanks for letting me share in this sweet time by capturing these images for you!
