I first met Alex and Michael up in NYC for their engagement session this past spring. That shoot ended up being one of my all-time favorite sessions not only because we had the most insane backdrop to work with but because Alex and Michael are absolutely hilarious and so fun to be around. Michael was up almost the entire night before because he’s in corporate law and he still managed to get up before the sun for our sunrise shoot. Then he went right back to work after our shoot. They’re both such hard-working and dedicated people and I knew their wedding would be a reflection of all their hard work but I also was so excited for them to finally relax and enjoy their gorgeous day without anything else on their minds!
King Family Vineyards never lets me down because of its incredible scenery so I knew we’d have the best day and we absolutely did! We had the most gorgeous sunny weather and what I loved most about this day was Alex and Michael’s ability to completely let go of any stress they may have felt up to this point. There was no rush at any part of the day and we all just enjoyed laughing and celebrating together. Weddings can be all-consuming because of the time and money put into the party and that makes it hard to let go and let your vendors handle everything on the wedding day but Alex and Michael knew the importance of what they were really there for and I so admired their willingness to relax and have so much fun. If I had to sum up this day in one word it would just be joyful. These two made my second shooter and I laugh so hard and their photos are such a beautiful representation of who they are. I hope you enjoy meeting them through today’s blog!
