I met Keegan when I was in either elementary or middle school through a couple of my friends. I didn’t know Keegan well but I remember always knowing two things about her — that she was gorgeous and that she was a phenomenal swimmer. When I heard from her recently that she was engaged, I was so thrilled. I’ve said this before but there’s nothing more special than receiving an inquiry from someone you already know.
I chatted with Keegan a little bit about her wedding, heard about her sweet love with her soulmate Tommy, and then they booked! Keegan immediately mentioned doing their engagement photos in the Outer Banks where Tommy’s family has property and I was obviously on board. I’m always more than happy to travel so we set a date for August. We had been planning their session for a while so when it finally came around I was so excited. The locations Keegan chose — Pirate’s Cove Marina and Jennette’s Pier — both ended up being so perfect!
You might not notice too much in the photos but it ended up raining their entire shoot. I am so thankful for Keegan and Tommy because they were more than willing to dance around in the rain for an hour and a half and they didn’t complain once. I couldn’t easily reschedule since we were both traveling so it meant the world to me that they didn’t care one bit about the weather. Bad weather can often times be stressful but when your couple is down to have a good time no matter what, the photos always turn out beautifully!
We seriously had the BEST time and I love their photos so much because I think it captures their fun-loving and playful spirits so well. Keegan and Tommy, here’s a sneak peek of your engagement photos!!! I hope you LOVE them!
