Charlottesville Virginia Wedding Photographer » I'm a Charlottesville Virginia and destination wedding and elopement photographer for the elegant, classy, and original bride who loves a beautiful location and has an adventurous spirit. I love working with brides and grooms who are joyful, fun, and fully trusting of me to capture their day.

Megan texted me a couple months before the Pursuit Conference asking if I wanted to turn it into a road-trip with her by stopping in Asheville on the way there and Nashville on the way back. UMMM…… YES. Rule #1: Never say no to travel. Megan has a friend in Asheville so we stayed with […]

The Pursuit Conference… Where do I begin? For the past three years, I’ve had so many friends attend and all I ever heard were good things. But anyone who knows me knows I usually don’t spend my money on conferences or workshops. They always look SO fun but when you look at the cost, you realize it […]

Megan Kelsey - Hahaha, I had no idea that comment of mine was what got you to sign up!! Clearly it’s advice that I too have followed for the past year with how much money I’ve spent since last May 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the conference and these film photos look great! So crisp!ReplyCancel

The winter is a unique time for photographers. It’s a time for little projects that don’t get done during busy season and it’s a time to analyze your year, connect with vendors, update pricing, design albums, rebrand, etc. but what doesn’t happen often is winter shoots. I personally hate being out in the cold so I rarely […]

Guys, to be completely honest, blogging three times a week is ridiculously hard. I have been blogging Monday, Wednesday, Friday since my website launch in early February and I’ve put in a lot of late hours. Sometimes I struggle with the balance because I do see fruit from blogging consistently but I also want to […]

Annaliese - Beautiful post with beautiful words Meredith!! Love the idea about sleeping with your phone in airplane mode. This past year I’ve started sleeping with my phone charging at the opposite part of my room, so when it is bedtime I can’t stay up late on my phone. It’s been so great!

Hosanna - I’ve been feeling the same way lately. I love photography and I’m just now becoming a real photographer. I love both art and people, and it’s fun (I really do love it), but business can really be a burden, just for all the texts and emails and sessions to edit. And when you don’t have work piled up, you have to go out and practice and keep up your online presence. This is harder than I thought. Wanting a life suddenly meant that photography is my life, and I’m not sure that’s right. The Lord does come first. I’m just not sure how to put Him first in my business.ReplyCancel

Tyla Price - Amen! Im currently pursing my photography career and LOVE the idea that I will be doing what I love, but have been very fearful as I enter into late nights of working after my full time job and trying to juggle learning what it takes to start up a business in small town Oklahoma. Thank you for sharing!ReplyCancel

It seems like just yesterday that my best friends and I were walking across the high school stage with our diplomas in hand. Now, another four years have passed and my friends are about to walk across a much more prestigious stage with a different degree. It won’t be long before some are headed to […]
