Most of you know that I’m not a family photographer but every now and then, I just can’t say no. It’s funny because in my head I always picture really uncooperative families and I think that’s why I shy away from these sessions. But every time I say yes to a family, they end up practically being Gap models and I ask myself why I don’t do this more often! When I was in California for Laura and Bradley’s San Diego engagement session, Laura mentioned she nannied for a family who was wanting photos done so I cleared out a day and we made it happen!

From the second I met this family, I fell in love with them! Not only are they super stylish but Evelyne and Hien are SO kind and Josie and Reagan are the cutest little girls I’ve ever seen. Just wait until you see Reagan’s sparkly boots!! 🙂 The girls listened to every direction I gave them and we had so much fun running through fields and attempting to play little games so the girls would enjoy the photoshoot.

Hien is in the Navy so he is about to deploy, which made these photos even more meaningful than normal. I feel so special to have been able to capture this time in their lives and provide them with something tangible to remember these moments while he’s gone.

Hien and Evelyne, you seem like exceptional parents and it was so fun to watch you interact with your girls and love them so well. They’re lucky to call you mom and dad!
