Every year I get the chance to second shoot for a few photographers and last year I had the privilege of shooting with the amazing Jill Powers of Jillian Michelle Photography. Jill is one of the kindest, most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met and shooting with her was so fun. What made the few weddings I helped her with even better was that they were at her property and venue called Big Spring Farm!! She and her husband started their venue a few years ago (maybe more… time goes by so fast!) and they’ve been upgrading and transforming it ever since. Each time I go, there’s a new sign or walkway! It’s such a beautiful place with the best mountain views EVER. My best friend is actually getting married here at the end of this month so it was extra fun to see it decorated for a wedding!
I tend to be way late on editing second shooting images but I remembered this fall wedding last week and I couldn’t help but edit it! As a second shooter, I don’t often get many detail shots but it’s a great opportunity to be slower to shoot and think a little differently. Kari and Zach are such a photogenic couple and their wedding day was absolutely lovely — they were so easy to capture! I’m excited to share this wedding back from November with you all today!
