This wedding was full of more energy, excitement, and joy than I’ve seen in a long time. Allison has a big, bright personality and I knew her wedding would reflect that! She actually works as a wedding coordinator at the venue she got married at so she’s been talking about this place called Plantation on Sunnybrook in Roanoke ever since I met her. The name alone just made me want to go! Haha. I was excited to finally show up on her wedding day and see both her workplace and her wedding venue! We had the best weather which allowed the venue to live up to its name. Haha!

It was also so nice walking into the bridal suite that morning knowing Allison understood the wedding day and what to expect. It was an unspoken understanding that put me at ease. I know it was so crazy for Allison to finally be in the shoes of the bride, though — she was SO excited to experience it all for herself. I remember chatting with her before the wedding when there were a million little things for her to do and I just reminded her to breathe and enjoy every moment because it would pass by so quickly! And it definitely did. But it was stunning from start to finish and I’m so happy for this amazing couple! I have to pinch myself sometimes when I finally export a wedding and get to share the final product with my couples. It’s my favorite part! And then getting to share the images on the blog when I’m able to make the time is seriously the final piece for me!

So Allison and Davis, thank you for being such a fun couple to work with. Thank you for appreciating me and trusting me! I hope you love your images as much as I do and I can’t wait to stay in touch and hear all about married life!! Enjoy this new season! Love y’all!
