How is it almost April already?! I’m scared. Time is going SO FAST! I remember when this winter down season began for me and it felt like it would be forever before I started shooting again. Well, thankfully, although I definitely have had time off, this winter has probably been Virginia’s warmest winter ever and it didn’t keep me from the shoots I had planned. In fact, this day in February with Jessica and Peter was about 65 degrees! They were wishing for snow but I was wishing for summer! Haha!! I ended up getting my way but it totally worked out and made it easy for the outfits they had planned!

It’s crazy to me that I’ve met almost all of my 2017 wedding couples at this point!! Each shoot and each couple is so unique. That’s what makes my job fun. It never gets boring with all the people and personalities I get to meet! Jessica was exactly the person I had pictured her to be. We had talked on the phone and emailed a good bit and her gentle and sweet personality online transferred over when we met for the first time at her engagement shoot. She and Peter found this beautiful property in Northern Virginia and I fell in love with it as soon as I started scouting. There was so much variety, even in the winter and I loved wandering around all the buildings and walkways with them talking about their wedding day and how it’ll be here in no time!! Jessica and Peter, you two made my job so easy!! Thank you for allowing me to capture your love!!!
