Every time I do a senior session, I’m reminded of how much I love it! Weddings tend to take over my schedule more than portraits and my website unintentionally points to the fact that I do more weddings but I’ve been thinking how I really need to make it obvious that I love seniors because I have always wanted to photograph them more than I do now! Something about photographing young girls reminds me of why I love what I do. I think it’s because I started out doing portraits and that’s where I first felt like I could make this career work. I remember following Michelle Moore‘s work and buying every single posing guide and teaching video she released, even before I considered weddings. Michelle was my senior photographer idol and I learned everything I know from her! It was fun to remind myself of that as I walked around Veritas with Veronica earlier this week!

Because I’m working extra hard to get work done before I leave for London next week, I’ve been on a roll with editing quickly! 🙂 I’m excited to share these today! Veronica is so photogenic and it was the best part of my week photographing her! She had the cutest outfits, the most unbelievable hair, and the prettiest smile! She was an easy subject and I think some of these shots are new all-time favorites!
