I have known Libby for a LONG, long time because she has lived two doors from where I grew up for twenty years. I don’t remember exactly how old I was when her sweet family moved in but they’ve lived there ever since and my mom and the Youngs are still neighbors. Libby has always been such a sweet girl and I love that as she’s gotten older and I’ve been in Charlottesville, I’ve gotten to keep up with her life a bit on social media and see her travels, swim team updates, and just general high school life. When I opened up applications for my 2018 senior spokesmodel program, Libby applied and I was SO excited!!! I have absolutely adored getting to know her better. She is such a joyful and warm person and I have a feeling Libby probably makes friends with just about anyone because of that.

Libby’s family has a cabin in the mountains of West Virginia and has spent many summers there. It’s a really special place to Libby so they asked me if I’d be willing to do her senior pictures there. I say this all the time but I love when my clients pick the location because not only is it special to them but it’s a new place for me and that is always inspiring for a photographer. I showed up to the little town of Thomas to location scout early that afternoon and found so many unique little spots. Libby came with so many fun and stylish outfits and we seriously had the best time!! I probably would have kept shooting for two more hours had it not been getting dark. Libby, I secretly think you’re a model! Haha! Thanks for making this shoot so fun and being on my team this year!!
