I always end up being a little nervous before family sessions because I don’t do them often but I absolutely LOVE them once we get started, especially with families like the Lunds who are so photogenic and adorable. Also, sidenote: Ngoc wins the award for best dressed children. I mean, just wait until you see this session!
I get to see Jason and Ngoc’s kids pretty much every week at my church community group because they’re the leaders of our group and over the past two years, I have fallen in love with their boys! Every time I see them, they’re so well behaved (Ngoc might argue with me on that one… haha!) Maybe we just get lucky but every shoot I do of their family makes me want to photograph more families! I know it can be crazy photographing young kids but Tyler and Owen were so good and listened to everything I said (probably because I lied 100 times and told them there was a butterfly in my camera — sorry boys), which is a small miracle when it comes to taking pictures of children.
This is the second year we’ve done a full family shoot around Christmastime! Ngoc wanted a Christmas vibe and the Market At Grelen was seriously PERFECT!! There were Christmas trees, sleighs, and the prettiest LOVE sign. And it didn’t even feel like December! I love when I get good weather this time of year — such a blessing!! 🙂 When I did their family photos this time last year, Ngoc was pregnant with Eli and it has been so cool capturing different seasons of life for them and so special getting to greet Eli into the world the day after he was born! I loved photographing him for the first time at this year’s family shoot!! <3 He’s seriously the best baby of all time — clearly he has to be to put up with Tyler and Owen! Haha!!
I am so excited to have the Lunds on my blog once again! Here are a few of my favorites!
