Are you guys ready for today’s proposal?! I heard from Brian while I was traveling in Nashville recently and he shared that he was planning to propose to his girlfriend at Veritas Winery and wondered if I were free. I absolutely hate when I’m not able to take on proposal jobs so I quickly checked my calendar and saw that it was right when I got back from Nashville! It was an open day for me so we immediately starting planning and chatting about what would work best!! I love getting to be behind the scenes on an event like this and although it’s always nerve-racking, it’s always priceless to see a girl’s reaction after the love of her life gets on one knee. That will never get old.

I gave Brian the run down of where I’d be inconspicuously sitting at the vineyard when he got there and asked that he update me when they were close. As I was sitting there waiting, I heard a news station come in and ask for the owner so they could do a feature. The owner came out and they were chatting about a spot to interview him and mentioned out on the lawn and I calmly had to get up and tell them what was going on and ask if they could find another spot. Haha! I wasn’t sure the exact location Brian would propose and figured he wouldn’t want a news crew in his proposal shot so I did my part and saved the day. 🙂

Brian and Aubrey finally got there and as they walked out on the lawn I got up from where I was with my camera and tried my best to be sneaky as I followed them from a distance. I could see Aubrey beginning to get a little suspicious as Brian took off her coat (despite it being cold) and removed her glasses. Haha!! A few moments later Brian was on a knee with a ring box in his hand and Aubrey was ecstatic. I gave them a moment and then came out to meet them both and give them congratulatory hugs!

We had Veritas all to ourselves on this day so we got to walk all over the property and take some post engagement shots. There’s nothing better than taking photos of a newly engaged couple because they can never stop smiling and capturing that joy makes me so happy! Brian and Aubrey, I hope you love these and that they are a constant reminder of the love you have for each other! Thanks for inviting me along the journey!!!
