Their love story as told by Steph:
I met my soulmate in the last place I ever expected — on the internet! Once upon a time I had decided to get out of my comfort zone for once and try out a dating site just for fun. After a while I decided it wasn’t really my thing and decided I was going to delete my account and that’s when fate (and a guy named Tony) stepped in. From his first message I was immediately drawn to his spirit and before we knew it we had a date planned for the very next day at Plaza Azteca so that we could meet (and eat) in person. From the beginning I fell in love with his deep blue eyes, his crazy laugh you can hear from miles away, and his strong moral character that perfectly fit with mine. He surprised me on Christmas Eve a couple years later while we were in our pajamas with a large box which contained dozens of layers of containers and paper I had to unwrap before finally reaching a beautiful ring at the center. The night that he asked me to marry him under the tree lights was when it became official, but I already knew I had found my family and my forever long before that. Tony is the guy I love coming home to and the guy I hate to leave. He allows me to always be my genuine self at all times and loves me for it. I couldn’t ask for a better life partner in everything. I am so grateful to be living the really corny truth that I am, in fact, marrying my best friend.
Their love story as told by Tony:
Many people say opposites attract, but I don’t believe that anymore because Steph and I are so similar to one another and I believe that’s why we have had such a good and easygoing relationship. I instantly knew she and I were good together because everything came so easily. We started our relationship talking about one my favorite shows, quickly finding out I wasn’t nearly as interested in it as she was, and I knew from right there we would get along perfectly. Then, at my cousins wedding the magic electrified the air and we both said we loved each other while we danced. She made it easy to love her and I could tell she really cared for me because she stuck by me through a career change and injury. She is always doing the considerate thing thinking of how to make the house look nice or how to accommodate friends when they come over, which is why I’m so glad I get to marry her and spend the rest of my life with her. This entire journey has been filled with joy and laughter and I know it will continue forever!
