When I think back on Christina and Jon’s Salamander Resort wedding, I have so many emotions. This was one of those wedding days where there was such a powerful presence of love that I couldn’t hold back my tears — no one could. I started the morning shooting the most gorgeous details which set the mood for the elegant day I knew it would be but beyond the details, every moment shared was so meaningful. As Christina got into her gown, her sweet older sister couldn’t help but cry, thinking about her little sister finding the man of her dreams. At the first look, Christina felt that same flood of emotions as she walked toward the man she would soon spend the rest of her life with. And what really got me was during the ceremony when every guest and family member sang Be Thou My Vision in unity — the perfect pitch of everyone’s voices and the overwhelming power of their love for God was one of the most beautiful moments.
Despite the rain, these two were fully present and didn’t let that slight glitch in the day ruin what they were really there for. And somehow, in the midst of the storm, we managed to have a break in the rain every time we had to do bride and groom portraits, which was my prayer when I saw the weather that weekend. It was truly a wedding for the books and Christina and Jon deserved nothing less. I am so eternally grateful to be a part of stories like this and I hope you are able to take a step into this day through the images that I am beyond excited to share today!! Here are a few of my favorites!!
