I know proposals are everyone’s favorites and I’m so excited to share a really sweet one here today!! I heard from Billy a couple months ago and he was looking for someone to capture the moment he got down on one knee to his best friend Megan! He told me they were from Northern Virginia and they were doing a getaway in the Charlottesville area the weekend he planned to propose. He hired a company that books a location for you but doesn’t tell you where you’re going until right beforehand so that you don’t do any planning and are able to disconnect. Billy obviously found out the location ahead of time so that he could plan the proposal but it was all a surprise to Megan! Billy hadn’t been to the vineyard but told me he loved the barn on the property from the photos he saw online. I went by the vineyard ahead of time to share with Billy what I thought would be best and I found a spot to hide so that I could capture it all with the barn in the background!

I got there early the day it was all going to go down and was hiding behind the long grass for about thirty minutes, waiting to get the text from Billy that they were walking out. I got a few VERY strange looks from a few people wandering around the venue as I was sitting on the ground hiding with clearly nothing happening but that’s just how it goes! One of the couples that walked by had a kid and I think they probably got creeped out thinking I was secretly taking photos of their family. Haha!!

Anyway, I got the text from Billy, they walked out, he popped the question, and she said yes! WOOOO!! Megan was SO excited!! Megan and Billy actually met on Tinder and they’ve been happily together since the day they met! I’m not even surprised anymore when I hear that my couples met on an app — it’s becoming more and more popular and seems to be quite successful these days!! Megan and Billy are clearly in love and meant to be together! We had an awesome time and the perfect light walking around Early Mountain and I’m thrilled to have a few of my favorites on the blog today!!! Billy and Megan, congrats again!! Hope you love these!!
