One really fun part about owning a business is that you have complete control over how hard you work and you’re the one making things happen or not happen. If you want to do something, you can take whatever steps you want to make it happen. It might not always be fruitful but I’ve learned over the past couple years that not giving up and continuing to believe in a vision is the most important thing. When I started my senior spokesmodel program three years ago, it was slow to take off and I had to learn along the way what worked and what didn’t. I almost gave up because I felt I had failed but something told me to keep going. Owning a successful business isn’t something that happens overnight. So I kept improving the program every year and conquered the fears that came along with that and this year has been an absolute blast. I have seven spokesmodels this year and they are some of the kindest, most beautiful souls and I love them SO MUCH!

I did their mini sessions back in the spring but now it’s time for their full senior sessions. It has been so much fun to hang out with them one-on-one and get to know them better. These girls seriously inspire me and getting to capture them in this season has brought me so much joy! I remember senior year and I remember feeling overwhelmed at my future and although my senior photos look dramatically different than what I do, it was something to look forward to and I really enjoyed the process! So getting to encourage these girls and capture their beauty is something I am so thankful for.

Emma is one of my spokesmodels this year and she is absolutely hilarious. She can quote movies like it’s her job and she has such a gift of making everyone around her smile. I loved my time with her at the farm where she rides her horse every day. I could tell this place is like home for her and it meant to much that she got to share that side of her life with me!
