Diana and Erik are simply the best. They’re the best because it rained more on their wedding day than almost any other wedding day I’ve shot in the last eight years and they couldn’t have had better attitudes about it. I was obsessively checking the forecast the day before their winter wedding and unfortunately it didn’t change from the rain predicted but if there was any venue to be shooting at on a rainy day, it was the Inn At Willow Grove. This beautiful southern-style plantation home has so many porches and coverings that allowed us to still get some stunning naturally lit portraits. I honestly LOVE how these photos turned out. It made the day so cozy and romantic.

I’m also so grateful because it stopped raining for about ten minutes right during their reception and they were up for quickly running outside to grab some shots by the beautiful fall leaves remaining on the trees. That little bit of outdoor portrait time made my day!!

I’m so thankful for Diana and Erik and I truly left their wedding feeling sad that I wouldn’t probably see them again for a while. They treated me as a friend, not a vendor and this entire day I felt such a peace and calmness that I know was due to their easy-going personalities and honest love for each other.
