It’s so crazy that I’m booking for 2020 and finally starting to meet my couples for next year. Audrey and Ben are the first 2020 couple that I’ve met and their engagement shoot did not let me down! It was the perfect one to start off my next year of weddings! We scheduled and rescheduled their shoot a few times because these two live very busy lives but it finally worked out to meet up with them at UVA in mid June. We had the perfect cloud coverage and the rain thankfully held off until right when we finished shooting.

I do UVA engagement sessions a lot but it always looks a bit different in every season and I absolutely love how these images turned out! The orange dress Audrey wore at the beginning was so beautiful with the bright summer greens and it really made her pop in all the photos. As you’ll see below, Audrey and Ben were so much fun to photograph and I loved how Ben was so willing to play along with my crazy requests and how he never failed to make Audrey laugh by picking her up and twirling her around or just being silly. It’s my favorite thing when couples let loose and just forget about the camera.

I will often give prompts or an idea of a pose but when my couples make it their own and don’t follow my exact direction, it’s honestly so much more natural! Audrey and Ben did this so well.

They are getting married at Mount Ida next May and I have no doubt their day will be one for the books! I’m so excited to share their UVA engagements with you today and I hope you enjoy meeting them through my images!!
