I don’t know what it is about Pharsalia but every time I do a shoot here, the images end up being some of my favorites. It’s obviously an incredible property so that helps, no doubt, but even the light seems to stream in at the perfect spots everywhere. I met up with Heather and Wes last week to photograph them and they are an absolute joy! I briefly met Heather at one of my weddings last summer because she was a bridesmaid and she actually grew up on the same street as me but she lived pretty far up so I never knew her.
But I love how shooting weddings connects me to people I have always been familiar with. It has been so fun to be a part of the process with Heather and Wes! I knew Heather would show up in good style and sure enough, she did. She is such a doll and I loved how her outfits paired so well with the early fall colors at Pharsalia.
We truly could not have had a more beautiful day and something about shooting in the fall with the crisp air and changing colors puts me in the best mood. I think for some reason it’s nostalgic and reminds me of all that I love about my job. Fall is always a very busy season and the majority of my work for the year is packed into three short months so when this time rolls around, I get to experience everything I prayed to have before I started this crazy journey of shooting weddings.
Heather and Wes are getting married at the Seclusion next year and I could not be more excited!! Check out their engagement photos below!
