I don’t photograph families super often but honestly, I love it! I have a feeling when I have my own family one day, I’ll probably love it even more! Also, this family isn’t just any family. This is one of my past couples. Kathleen and Greg got married in 2016 and even after three years, I still have so many favorite images from their day! Kathleen is one of the kindest, most nurturing, and loving people and over the years, we’ve had an opportunity to become more than just a work relationship, which is always my desire when it comes to what I do. I also photographed Kathleen’s sweet sister’s wedding and by this point, I feel like I know their whole family.

So obviously when Kathleen shared the good news with me that she and Greg were expecting, I was so excited! Getting to watch my clients go from engaged to married to having a family is something I will never take for granted. It’s inspiring and I’m beyond grateful to be able to capture all of those seasons. Kathleen and Greg live in the NYC area now but they came back to Charlottesville once baby Harper was born. They rented the coolest Airbnb for the indoor session and it was perfect. Harper was an angel and I got to witness the love these two have for this baby girl. My heart almost exploded.

I am so excited with how these turned out and while I did take a lot of color images, I always love the feel a black and white image evokes so I decided to publish this whole post in black and white. I think my two favorite shots are the one of Kathleen and Greg in the window and the one of Greg kissing Harper. So cute! I hope these images put a smile on your face today!
