This wedding was special for so many reasons! The first is that Liz and Ben are in our church community group and Sam and I have had the opportunity to get to know them and call them friends over the past couple years. They are such a blessing and watching their relationship grow has been so fun!
Liz and Ben actually did something I’ve never seen done before — they had a morning wedding with a brunch reception! We ended up starting to shoot before the sun was even up and got to shoot their first look at sunrise!! It was COLD but truly one of the most glorious sunrises I’ve ever seen. The fog rolled in on the mountains as the sun rose and warmed up the frosty grass and it was absolutely perfect. God clearly gifted them with a gorgeous fall day which is what Liz always wanted!
Liz and Ben’s faith is so inspiring and while I already knew that, it was powerful to witness it on their wedding day! Their vows were a beautiful picture of what marriage should look like as God designed and capturing that love was so sweet. I also love that Liz and Ben did things a little differently. Not only did they have a morning wedding but they had only 30 of their closest friends and family there and they didn’t technically have bridesmaids or groomsmen but they did have their good friends there with them. It was such an intimate day and I love that they didn’t feel the need to do things the way they’re normally done because that’s what everyone else does. They focused on their marriage, the people that will really walk with them through life, and they put their money into the vendors that really mattered.
Also, I loved this day because I got to do it alongside my own sidekick Sam and that made my already amazing job even better. Sam did video for this day and we are so excited to announce that we are now offering photo/video collections! Our clients had a huge interest in us offering what we do as a husband and wife team so we are debuting that offer with this post and Sam’s amazing video at the end of the post! If you hire us both, you’ll get a decent discount and you’ll get to work with bot of us — what a dream come true! Haha, just kidding, but we do hope it’ll make your lives simpler and make your day more fun! 🙂 So go ahead and check out his video for yourself and enjoy scrolling through Liz and Ben’s stunning wedding day!
