Every year when I get to March and it finally starts to warm up, I know my business is about to go from super quiet to really busy. I honestly get a little bit of the winter blues and while it’s really good for my soul to have a break from work, it also can be a challenge! I miss shooting but no one wants to be outside in the freezing temperatures so I’m kind of forced to just wait until spring. And guess what? It’s finally spring! This warm weather is giving me LIFE! I was so happy we got good weather for Heather and Mark’s shoot on the pipeline in Belle Isle!
Heather and Mark recently hired me as their wedding photographer for their November wedding and I am seriously so honored. I get emotional every time someone trusts in me to capture their day, even after eight years of doing this. And every year that passes, I value my clients and my relationships with them more and more. I didn’t know much about these two before their shoot but immediately after meeting them and giving them a hug, I felt like we were friends! Anyone who knows them probably knows that they’re just super friendly but I got to hang out with them and enjoy chatting with them for two hours in Richmond last week and loved every minute of it!
Seeing the sun shining, the flowers blooming, and getting to shoot in a new spot that I’ve never been to gave me such a high. This location ended up being really unique and cool and the lighting couldn’t have been more gorgeous! I was so excited to come home after their shoot to edit their photos and I absolutely LOVE them all. I had a hard time choosing favorites but take a peek below and see a few of them!
