To say this day was sweet and absolutely beautiful would be an understatement. I got an email from Hannah a month or two before her intimate backyard wedding and I didn’t know the whole story at that point but Hannah and JT were originally supposed to get married at the Naval Academy but it all got cancelled because of Covid. This seems to be a theme in all my blog posts this year, wouldn’t you say? They decided they were tired of waiting and tired of replanning over and over so they got married in one of Hannah’s family members’ backyards!
It was absolutely perfect. You’ll see very quickly in these images but Hannah and JT are seriously some of the most joyful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. All day long, they had the biggest smiles on their faces and were so giddy. It made me so happy and somehow after having JUST met both of them that afternoon, I felt like I had known them much longer.
I am truly so impressed by all these couples who have pulled off something so amazing in such little time and while I do love huge, extravagant weddings, there’s something so special, emotional, and meaningful about everything being stripped away besides what really matters. I know it has been awful for everyone but seeing couples reminded that all the details are just a blip in the grand scheme of things I think just makes the wedding more relaxed and fun.
Hannah and JT could not have been a more amazing couple to work with and their couple’s portraits are some of my favorites this year!! I hope you enjoy scrolling through these photos from their stunning day and to Hannah and JT, congratulations, you two!! I hope you never forget the love you have for each other and that these images forever remind you of that.
