I’m not sure why I’m JUST now getting around to sharing this sweet family porch session but here we are. I took these back at the beginning of quarantine when porch sessions were all the rage and this was one of the first ones I did. Blair reached out to me a few weeks before they were due to have their little one and I ended coming only a week or so after he was born and it was so much fun capturing this time for them!

What’s crazy about this shoot is that Blair is the one who booked me and I never got her last name or husband’s name since it was a somewhat last minute, quick shoot but when I started walking up towards their stunning home the day of the shoot, Blair’s husband Abe recognized who I was and I recognized him at the same time. Abe was involved in Young Life when I was in high school and since my parents were on committee and were often at a lot of the events, I knew of him. It had been a LONG time since I had seen him and I obviously had no idea he was married with a baby but it was so fun to make that connection!

We had such a good time taking a few photos of their new little family outside the house and I absolutely love how these shots turned out! This was actually my first time using my Sony and I brought my Canon as a backup but only ended up taking about ten photos on it. Haha! The Sony was just so easy and I had an extra good time this day because I was so excited to be shooting on it!! I can’t get over how cute little Gus is!
