You all are in for a treat today with Stephanie and Larry’s wedding! Sam and I got to capture their day together at Cross Keys Vineyards last month and having Sam along always makes any wedding day more fun but Stephanie and Larry are truly angels and Sam and I both adore them! I actually wasn’t originally supposed to photograph their day but my friend Ashley who was shooting it got pregnant and had to hand off their day to me and while I know she was bummed not to be a part of it, I was thrilled that I got to meet these two and be a part of their day. It was beautiful and another one of those days that just felt so relaxed, easy, and chill.

We arrived and weren’t sure if there would be rain so that’s always a bit stressful but they lucked out and ended up getting an overcast day which always works out super well at this venue because there’s not much shade! So I was actually really grateful for that. One thing I really love about Stephanie and Larry is that they fully trusted Sam and I. There was not a moment during the day where they questioned why we were doing something (like having Stephanie get ready out on the balcony instead of inside… haha!) and every time we asked if they were up for something, they were more than happy to jump up and do it. In fact, they were excited for photos! I feel like sometimes couples don’t want to get up for photos when all their friends are there to chat with which makes sense but these two really valued their images and video and because of it, I think they ended up with a better product! Trusting us as your photographer and videographer is a huge part of what allows us to create beautiful imagery and I am so thankful my couples value that!

A few of my favorites moments from this day were when Stephanie’s dad saw her for the first time right before the ceremony, when Larry saw her as she walked down the aisle, and honestly just our portrait time in the vineyard was also so fun! I love how the colors pop in these even though it was an overcast day and I cannot wait for you all to scroll through them!
