This might just be my longest senior blog post of all time. Haha. Leah’s Hot Springs Virginia senior session was absolutely perfect! Leah is such a bubbly, fun, sweet girl and I feel like she just had a light that shined so bright. Her smile would truly light up a room and hanging out with her literally put the biggest smile on my face in return. We had so much fun!

I met her out in Hot Springs because her family has a cabin out there in the middle of the woods and she has spent many days there, playing in the river, having marshmallows over the fire, and just getting away from the craziness of the city. Leah mentioned it was such a respite during Covid and she’s always just loved the area so it was seriously such a great spot for her senior portraits, especially at the peak of fall. We started out by the river near her cabin and then made a short drive to a barn on the way to their cabin which ended up being absolutely gorgeous for the sunset light and Leah’s fun outfits fit perfectly there.

I ended up shooting a little bit of film on my Contax at this session which is something I haven’t done in a LONG time since I can edit my digitals to look so close to film but it brought a little extra excitement to this shoot. I hadn’t shot film in more than a year and I forgot how hard the wait for the film scans is after mailing them to the lab. Haha. If anyone can pick out the film shots, I’ll be really impressed. 🙂 But I am so thrilled to have these on the blog! It has been a busy fall so I’m up to my eyeballs in editing and it just feels so good to finish another gallery! Enjoy!
