It’s actually so funny that I’m blogging these photos today because in just a few hours, Danielle, Kristen, and I are about to enjoy another winery day! It took me way too long to edit these but when you take photos just for fun, usually they sit on a hard drive until everything else is edited. But I’m so excited to be sharing them today because this was such a fun, impromptu shoot at one of my favorite wineries — Pippin Hill Farm! Both Kristen and Danielle are photographers and I’ve known Kristen for a few years because she actually second shot for me once upon a time. Her business is thriving now so I don’t get to have her as much any more but I still love seeing her every chance I get! And Danielle moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia just this past spring or summer with her husband and reached out to a bunch of photographers in Charlottesville to connect when she moved. She ended up reaching out to both Kristen and I and that’s how we formed our little friendship!

This past summer was our first time all hanging out together and our afternoon at Pippin Hill couldn’t have been more perfect!! If you’ve never had the chance to visit this amazing place, it’s very well-known and the view is stunning! I’ve shot quite a few weddings here and they’re all extravagant and luxurious. Haha. It’s always a good time. Luckily, I actually know the Pippin Hill operations director (fancy title!) from high school so every time I go and he is there, he’s always SO kind to give me something, whether it’s free wine or wine glasses, etc. This time Kristen and Danielle and I were just sitting at our table trying to decide what wine we wanted and before we know it, our server is coming over telling us we all get a free tasting and can take home a free bottle of whatever wine we liked most. WHAT?! Best day ever!! It was such a fun way to start and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine! Haha. By the time we took these photos, we may have been feeling it just a little bit! Haha! I had just gotten my 50mm 1.1 Voigtlander lens for my Sony right before this day so of course I brought it along. This is what happens when you give three photographers some wine and put a camera in their hands.

Danielle is actually a model which you will clearly be able to tell after looking at these and Kristen looks like a Disney princess so it was a fun time photographing them on the property!
