I shot Danielle and Alex’s engagement photos just before Thanksgiving and I have been meaning to share them on the blog since!! The holidays put me behind schedule a bit but this shoot was one of my favorites this year! I usually meet my couples for the first time at their engagement sessions which is why I love doing them them SO MUCH. It is my time with couples to get to know them, to laugh with them, and to just bring a new level of comfortability to being photographed. I have photographed weddings for couples who have done engagement photos before their weddings and for ones who haven’t and it’s not the end of the world if you don’t but I absolutely notice that feeling of friendship and just ease on the wedding day when the couple has met me and trusts me beforehand. It’s super helpful and makes the experience a lot better!

So with that being said, Danielle and Alex just feel like my new best friends after their session. It blows my mind how precious my couples are and these two are just that. They were so joyful and their fun-loving personalities and sweet love for each other made me so happy. Getting to photograph it was a gift! And obviously as a photographer, when a bride freaks out when I post her sneak peek photo, it definitely makes my day and Danielle’s comment on their Instagram sneak peek made my whole month. Haha!

They are getting married at Mount Ida Water’s Edge this fall and I cannot WAIT! I shoot at Mount Ida all the time but I’ve never shot at Water’s Edge which is one of their newer venues. For me, there’s nothing more fun than shooting at a place I’ve never shot before. It brings so much new creativity and passion because I am seeing everything for the first time! So I am definitely counting down the days to be a part of this couple’s wedding!! Stay tuned this fall to see their gorgeous day later this year!
