This engagement session was one of my favorites of the year for so many reasons!!! I have known of Tori for a very long time because her mom actually taught my brother in elementary school!! When she reached out saying she was engaged and wanted me to do her photos, I was so honored. She mentioned doing her photos at a quarry in town that one of my past brides’ families actually owns and I have never shot at a quarry so I was super excited!! It was such a cool and unique backdrop that I feel like sets apart their images from any others. The way the tree-line so perfectly reflects on the water was unreal!

Then towards the middle of the shoot after Tori and Taylor got into their second outfit, we actually finished the night in Tori’s parent’s backyard! We didn’t originally plan on that but I wanted a little more variety in the backdrops. I am so glad it worked out the way it did. It always seems like the unplanned parts of shoots turn out to be so inspiring and fun! The mimosa tree in the middle of sunset was giving me chills and I can’t believe the views from the yard!

Tori and Taylor have officially set their wedding date for 2023 and guess what?! They’re getting married at my dream venue in Maui!!! I cannot believe it but I am SO excited for them. They are truly going to have the most magical wedding day!
