Going back through these beautiful summer weddings feels so nostalgic. In 2021, I had some of the most gorgeous weddings that I’ve ever photographed and I have to say, I was really proud of my work last year. As a creative, I usually pick apart every piece of my work and while I know that always pushes me to be better, it’s nice to step back and have a moment where you feel you did a good job. I honestly think a huge part of me feeling this way is because of 2020 being a much slower year due to Covid cancellations. I got a bit of a break to recharge and I felt so ready to jump back into full weddings for 2021. It was such a good year.
Rachel and Dan were obviously a dream couple and there was so much about their day that I loved! If you look through my blog often, this venue will look super familiar. I have shot at Mount Ida at least twenty times since I became a wedding photographer and I am so grateful for each and every unique day that has taken place there. When shooting at the same venue over and over, you know where the good light is and you obviously will shoot in a lot of the same places but I chose a few new spots to shoot for this day and I think that’s why I’m so excited about these images! The colors of the scenery, the florals, and bridesmaids dresses photographed SO well and I’m still dreaming about it all! I am SO excited to finally have this day on the blog! Rachel and Dan, if you see this, I hope you enjoy reliving all these fun memories! I’m so thankful for you two trusting in me!
