Lauren and Zach’s wedding was my very last wedding in Virginia before we moved to Hawaii. It’s so surreal to look back on these photos because we were practically all packed up, we had sold all our furniture, and I knew ten days was in between me and us moving. I can feel all the excitement, nervousness, and emotions that I had looking back at these photos which is so funny because I obviously wasn’t in them but it’s always nostalgic looking back on old work. I can always feel the weather, the temperature, the energy, etc. looking back on photos!
This day was a chilly one but such a good one. I shot Lauren’s sister’s wedding back during Covid actually so I had met Lauren and Zach there! They are such a sweet family and I was so glad when Lauren got engaged that she asked me to also capture her day! I’ve actually wanted to shoot a wedding of my own at Big Spring Farm for so long. I’ve second shot there and my friend got married there but I had never had my own wedding there! I know the owners and they are incredible so it was super fun knowing I was going to show up to a familiar place and get to capture the amazing views!
This farm sits on such a stunning property with a beautiful spring with this amazing blue water and the mountains that surround the whole place are just gorgeous! Most people have their ceremonies by the water but I LOVE that Lauren and Zach chose the mountaintop. It turned out so perfectly and their ceremony photos are beyond epic because of it! Lauren and Zach, I know this is so delayed but I miss you guys and hope married life is amazing!! I’m so excited to share a few of my favorites from your day below!
