Looking back through these photos, I can literally feel the weather and temperatures and I wasn’t even there! Our associate Kelly shot this gorgeous wintry and misty engagement shoot. We were a little worried about the weather for this shoot but Kelly was feeling confident it would work out. I’m SO glad Maria and Daniel were chill about the weather and decided to go for it because it ended up being so epic! That mist that settled over the battlefield ended up making the shoot!

Also, I LOVED the outfits Maria chose and really feel like they encompassed the vibe of Christmas, which was right around the corner at the time! The colors also popped really nicely since it was winter and the trees didn’t have any color. They seemed like the most fun couple ever and Kelly couldn’t have possibly captured their joy any better. Sometimes I get associate weddings and engagements back from my team to edit and I’m like, “DANG IT, I’m jealous I didn’t get to shoot that!” That’s how I felt about this session!! Such a fun one, with so many awesome locations!

I’ve shot at Manassas Battlefield up in northern Virginia before and it’s honestly a breath of fresh air in the middle of a lot of bustling cities. I always love big open fields and not having to deal with a million people walking in the background of every photo. Haha! I’m glad Maria and Daniel felt the same way! But somehow, just looking back through these now makes me miss even Washington D.C. and the hustle and bustle. Not sure if I’d feel that way if I actually went back but Virginia really does have a magic about it! Can’t wait to hopefully visit this fall with a baby in tow!
