I know I sound like a broken record lately but because I’m so behind on blogging, I have since photographed this precious couple a second time, with a new baby in Jacqueline’s belly and little Livie on the outside! WOW! It’s crazy I’ve even been in Hawaii that long. Haha! I’ll eventually get around to sharing that more recent shoot but wanted to share these because it’s a location I love that I don’t get to shoot at often and it was such a wild shoot.

I actually showed up a bit early to the location like always and it was POURING. Not just a little rain but an absolute torrential downpour. I texted Jacqueline and Tony and told them I was there but it wasn’t looking too good and we may need to reschedule. They got caught in traffic and ended up being about thirty minutes late and the shoot was only a thirty minute shoot but it was STILL raining when they showed up. I honestly had no clue what to do! Haha!! Jacqueline had gotten her hair and makeup done so she and Tony were down to find a tree and try to get a few under some cover but there were no trees. AHHH! The craziest thing happened though!

Just when we were trying to figure out what to do, the SUN popped out. We literally RAN to the beach! We only had five minutes of sun before it set so I’ve never worked faster in my whole life. But what’s crazy is the sky was INSANE! It was pure magic for that five minutes. Also, this beach doesn’t usually have rocks exposed like this so that was really cool as well. You’d never know it but I actually shot most of these when it was basically dark out! Thanks to my Sony A7iii for being a ROCKSTAR!

Sometimes what you think is going to be an absolute disaster ends up working out perfectly! And I’m so glad it did because these two are the kindest souls and I have loved capturing them twice now! Hopefully there will be many more shoots in the future!
