If I remember correctly, this was my very first shoot back after giving birth to my daughter Raleigh. I can’t believe I’m that behind on blogging but I am OBSESSED with this shoot. I remember my husband and I were staying at Turtle Bay with four month old Raleigh when I did this shoot because a tree had fallen outside our home and we had to leave while they were trimming. It ended up working out so perfectly because I just popped outside and then when I was done, I walked right back inside the resort. Haha!!

This family was seriously the cutest ever and the lighting and colors in these shots is SO dreamy. They were the perfect family to end my maternity leave with! I have been looking forward to getting these on the blog for almost two years. Haha!! It’s so nice to be starting to get caught up on sharing some of my favorite images from the last couple years. My toddler doesn’t nap long so usually I’m editing during her naps and blogging has taken a back seat. But I’m working on being more efficient with blogging because it makes me so sad when I don’t get to share my favorite work!

I remember being so inspired photographing this precious family because I now had a new understanding of what it was like to have my own family and when I saw this adorable little girl, I immediately wanted to capture sweet memories for them! I kept picturing my daughter Raleigh at her age and it made me want to tear up! Children are just the biggest blessings and I’m so lucky to get to do what I do for a living!
