Are you guys ready for some baby cuteness?! When I shot this session, Raleigh was only a month older than this little nugget so it felt especially close to home and special for me to capture this family. I was in the thick of unbelievable sleep deprivation and I remember asking the Chang’s how their little girl was sleeping and they said she was sleeping through the night. HAHA!!! I remember being like, “IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?” I couldn’t believe it! So funny how you can have a wildly different experience than other parents but have such a connection nonetheless.

I’ve said this quite a few times on the blog but since having my own kid, capturing families has been so much more fun! There’s so much to chat about and I absolutely LOVE connecting with other moms and hearing their stories of starting their own families. I met a mom the other day on the walking trail near our house and she was walking her four month old around outside trying to tire her out. We immediately started chatting about motherhood — the good and the hard. It is honestly so amazing how fast you can go deep with other moms. You have an instant bond and understanding, especially when you have shared similar challenges, whether it’s pregnancy related, birth related, or just navigating parenthood. I just love it!

This photoshoot is one of my favorites and probably my favorite I’ve ever done at this location. This couple was GLOWING and so was the lighting. It was such a gift to capture this precious time for this family. It really does go by SO FAST. I hope you all love scrolling through a few of this fun little girl!
