Jennifer and Jasen’s Mill At Fine Creek wedding was my first winter wedding and we conveniently had 70 degree weather and only a few sprinkles of rain, rather than the downpour all day that the forecast had originally called for! That in itself made me so grateful but Jennifer and Jasen are the type of people who make you feel that way as well. They light up a room together and if you’ve seen their engagement photos, you know they’re stylin’ too. Haha!!

When I saw Jennifer as I walked in that getting ready room that morning, I couldn’t stop smiling. The ladies got ready upstairs and as they finished up, I could tell Jennifer’s anticipation for the first look was high. I went down to find Jasen and we got him in place. I always get excited about this part of the day. I get asked a lot by potential brides what my favorite and most memorable moments are during the wedding day and I have to say the first look is more often than not a moment I never forget. Jennifer slowly walked towards Jasen’s turned back, with her bridesmaids and family peeking through the window, and as Jasen turned around, he had a look of awe as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time. I’m always amazed that the girls can keep the secret of their dress up until this moment. I know that’s SO hard. But it’s true that the anticipation of surprise makes the moment all the more special.
