Their love story as told by Logan:

Meredith and I met through a mutual friend back in 2006, but our story goes back quite a ways further since we both attended the same preschool together. Once we met again we really hit it off and began dating in December of 2006. We attended different high schools, but managed to see each other every weekend thanks to our parents driving us back and forth across town. After high school, we both attended Virginia Tech, the college we both grew up loving. In high school we attended every football game with Meredith’s family and continued that tradition once we enrolled at Tech. After graduation, I started graduate school at UVA while Meredith began nursing school at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke. The distance was difficult, but we spent as many weekends together as we could. During the summer of 2016, I took Meredith back to Virginia Tech, our favorite place, and we took a tour of the athletic facilities. The tour concluded on the football field where I proposed to Meredith. Since then, Meredith has joined me in Charlottesville where she works in the medical ICU at the UVA hospital. Meredith laughs at all my jokes, no matter how stupid they are. She is driven and wants to succeed in everything she does. Her drive makes me want to succeed in my passions and we both work well to support each other. We’ve been dating for so long that it feels like we’re already married, so it’ll be nice to make it official. I look forward to sharing the next big milestones in life with Meredith as my wife.

Logan always keeps me laughing — it is what drew me to him so many years ago. He knows just the right things to say to put a smile on my face and make any day bright. Logan and I have walked through many milestones in life together and he has been not only my boyfriend through it all but truly my best friend. I can’t imagine my life any different and I consider myself lucky to have spent over 10 years of my life already with the man of my dreams.
